TJ called Cecelia and I around 5:30 PM, December 30th, 2009 and told us that you had passed away. We knew each other 12 years, were the best of friends and we never met face-to-face. You were a true, true friend, Linda, and we met after I signed your guestbook and we started talking over the phone and emailing. Linda, you gave so much of yourself to the 240th Assault Helicopter Company with your love and creativity and now our unit has 3 wonderful websites where the men and their families may go to relive memories and reconnect again. I feel we have something in common already--I attended tech school in the USAF at Keesler AFB in 1964 and got, out of the service in Texas (San Antonio, 1968), where I lived for 30 some years;also spent most of my life in the retail business. Comments: I am a Vietnam Era Vetern. I didnt actually see action in Vietnam but I was on active duty in the Navy during the War. 1963 to 1966. I visit the War sites every once in a while to remember the young men who faught in the War and lost their lives. It is my way of hororing them in my own way. I am going through Cancer treatments now and somehow I draw strength from these brave men and it gives me the courage to fight for my life and not let this dreaded killer take me.
