I read everything on your website and I just have to tell you my heart goes out for you and what you ahd to do. What a great bond it sounds you and Milo shared. The only thing I can pass along to you is, although it was for a very short while, still you made a huge difference in that dog's life in proving to him not all humans are heartless and his terrible life he was forced to live wasn't "life" at all. When I first met my boyfriend about 5 years ago, one of his friends from back East sponsored a Greyhound to race in Florida, I believe. I immediately gathered all the literature and pamplets I could and gave them to my boyfriend. I knew the way to get his friend to seriously take a look at what really goes on with those racing dogs was to first have my boyfriend discover the naked and horrid truth behind the scenes and when the racing life of a greyhound is over and else in between. My hunch was right and the friend was so upset over it, he immediately made arrangements to have that dog transported to his home in Long Island, NY. Today Coby (his name) is that friend's best friend, soul mate, companion, guardian, you name it - they are bonded together. Coby recieves so much love every single day and night and his life just began 5 years ago. He is 12 today. I wish you the best and yours and Milo's story left a place in my heart.
