I think you should stay with the computer technique, your pictures aren't all that bad, but I suggest you practice more. Try doing it in steps like starting off with a circle and drawing inside it for the head, if you know what I mean. . . the simple ways of using shapes to do cartoons and what not. . . and telling by your pictures, you're not doing that. It's a good technique (yes, I like that word) to use when drawing. It evens out the pictures better.
