How good do you think this site is: Well Done!!! Comments: My father, Jack Van Dyke, was a Chief MM and plank owner. He's still in very good health at 88, and just spent the weekend with us. He gave us some pictures of him during the war years and related stories about them as well.His grandkids sat with chins resting on hands as he told of the travels. As an ex-Navy guy myself, I listened with an understanding of what it must have been like to be in those times. We all need to keep the sites like this one alive and updated as the original crews and members of all of the Armed Forces that lived through that time, slowly pass into history.
