I moved to Sacramento in 1979 and got my first Golden in 1980 - Aja she lived to be 15 1/2, then Kai, he lived to be 14 1/2. Their daughter who only lived to be 7. I now have 3 Goldens, 12 1/2 year old - Katja and she is very active and in great shape. Then there is Bodie a 4 year old male and Mischka who will be 4 year old next week. She is away being bred. I show all of my dogs in Obedience and Confirmation and have many titles and ribbons. All three are Therapy Dogs, we visit the Assisted Living Homes. I am interested in your Rescue group. I am often asked about rescue dogs, although you are quite a distance from me. My Goldies are my best friends and this home will never be without a Golden. Comments: I was browsing the Golden Rescue groups for information. My husband and I are considering getting a dog this fall/winter. I am considering a Golden, and perhaps rescuing a Golden. My son has two that he shares his home with and I enjoy these dogs. I am trying to learn as much as I can about them to be certain of our compatibility. I realize they shed a great deal, but if groomed well I would think shedding could be controlled. I will appreciate any information I learn from your webstite.
