Wasn't prepared for your music to touch me like it did. I listened to Mama don't cry & this mama cry through the whole song. I have 2 sons, Justin turned 22 in June & Joshua just turned 20 a week ago. Joshua is in the Cottonwood Prison, doing a rider, great program, different then regular prison. Started with him jockey boxing, stealing whatever him and his friends could, this paid for all their partying, he did 4 months in county w/8 yrs probation. He broke his probations so he was sent their. My other son got out of jail in december for felony delievery, already has stealing on his record, now this, not to mention he did not change, he is working the system and his probation officer. Neither really never got in trouble until they turned 18, then it was like the flood gates opened. It has been an uphill battle. They were raised in a Christian family, knowing the Lord, being on Bible Quiz teams, sunday school, church camp the works. When Justin was 1-1/2 n Joshua was 3 months in the womb, their biological dad left. He hasn't been a big part of their lives, but the part he has been in has been horrible. He has partied with them, etc, you probably can imagine. I pray all the time, I just printed out your lyrics for mama don't cry, Im sending them to my son in prison. I saw Justin earlier, he sat with me and listened to that whole song with me. I had purchased 2 of your albums from itunes, I ask Justin if he wanted the cd, that he could have it, if he thought he might want to listen to it sometime. He said yes! Yes! I now pray that God will use your music to help change both of my sons hearts. They love rap, and you can rap, the lyrics are awesome and I thank you! When I got saved, I was devastated because I've got love for rap, and I knew I did not need to be listening anymore to the music I had been listening to growing up. I was at a place called U-Turn for Christ, and one of my overseers took me aside to have me listen to something-your "Off the Crooked Path" CD. I haven't stopped listening from that point on.
