How good do you think this site is: Well Done!!! Comments: Hi Anthony, Congratulations for a very informative website! I am currently working on the history of New Zealand bus maker DesignLine for the CPTDB Wiki, a collaborative effort to document transit facts from Canada and all over the world. I would appreciate if I could use a few of your Olymbus photos to illustrate the DesignLine production list. You would be given full credit of course. You can see the work in progress at those addresses: http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=DesignLine_International http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=DesignLine_EcoSaver_IV And while you visit, please let me know whether there are any mistakes/omissions, as the story of those buses is sometimes hard to follow! Thanks for any help you can provide, Andru 22 Fri April 07 2006 - 06:01:49 Fullname: Peter Hayes Email: PtrHy5@blueyonder Where are you from?: Wolverhampton Homepage Name: Homepage URL: Reference: Just Surfed On It! Comments: You certainly have a very informative website on omnibuses, probably the showcase of the widest range of makes & models i've so far come across ! [Would be nice if we could meet someday for further discussions on this subject] While on the whole your site is great, i do disagree sonewhat in the approach or classification of some models mentioned. I wish there's a clearer segregation of the 'original','complete' & purpose built integrally constructed PSV's from those other models only available in (omnibus) chassi form as well as those which came about seemingly as an after-thought using a truck chassi. So that one gets to note the 'true' buses & coaches from those adapted from truck chassi & even bodywork. 18 Fri May 14 2004 - 17:39:17 Fullname: Doi Email: theedge@xtra.co.nz Where are you from?: Dunedin Aotearoa/ New Zealand Homepage Name: Homepage URL: Reference: NetSearch How good do you think this site is: Well Done!!! Comments: I own a Leyland Leopard 1975 exRitchies/exCitibus Dunedin. There are three of us living in our Leopards in Dunedin at present. They are nice to drive and the flat floor and high ceiling make them roomy. The gearing is high (top speed 70kph)to cope with the steep streets and because the loading certificate allowed 93 young school children!! My previous bus was a twinsteer VAL Bedford prior to that a 1936 Studebaker, many housetrucks and homebuilts including a VW Kombi Dormobile into which I installed a subaru 1800 motor. THanks for the informative and interesting site. How good do you think this site is: Well Done!!! Comments: Hi Anthony, I lived in HK from 1987-93. I especially remember the Albion Viking as I lived in Yuen Long for a time. I have a question: There used to be quite an old bus (single deck) running Route 1 on Lantau Island from Mui Wo to Tai O. It was red and not very long with a manual transmission (I think). Do you have a picture of it? 15 Tue March 30 2004 - 01:44:52 Fullname: Michael Edwards Email: medwards9@cogeco.ca Where are you from?: Originally Reading, UK now in Canada Homepage Name: Homepage URL: Reference: From other bus pages How good do you think this site is: Well Done!!! Comments: I am an ex patriot Englishman, now retired and am so enjoying looking up the buses that were around in my youth. I was, and still am, a great bus and truck enthusiast. I make a point of following all trends - such as the big sell off of the Stagecoach North American holdings. Keep up the fantastic work Anthony - I would like to keep in touch with you. Very few people in North America seem to be as enthusiastic about bus and truck trends - unless of course I have not yet found them!!!
