When he got hit by a car, my grandpa brought it to him in the hospital even though it was his fault. It brings back great memories. A couple notes- Sharon Fradenburg is the "AHS Saxophonist" in the lab band 1970's photo. Sharon graduated in 1976 and is shown in this picture playing "Sharon", a special composition written for her by Bob Richardson, who currently teaches at AU. I also note that Sharon was 1st chair Alto Sax in the red band that year, even though the list does not indicate this. Glad to see the band is growing and continuing its long, proud history! I was at AHS from '84-'88 and remember the night we were awarded the Sudler Flag. (Though we can't take all the credit... at that point the band had earned nothing but I's at every contest for over 30 years! Amazing but true.) I played trumpet and was the second female to EVER be the Drum Major at AHS! (Thank goodness female drum majors are no longer a novelty.)
