Comments: Thanks for the kind comments! I now have a message board at http://www.nightshadebooks.com/discus/ - and I'll be posting mostly there. In fact, this message board may go away in a little while. Instead, I'll probably link from my site to the Night Shade message boards.

Best,
Jeff

Comments: Jeff - I only recently started reading your work, but I am very impressed by what I've read so far. I can't wait to get started on CoS&M. I wanted to ask you a question, though. I am an aspiring writer and while I've written several short stories, many of them tend to be too long for most short fiction markets (assuming that they are even liked). What would you suggest I do in such a case? Thanks for your time.

Comments: Well, had I known that "City" was such a good read I would have bought the hardcover version with the additional stories. Now I'll have to wait till my next reincarnation when it's obligatory at schools.

Comments: I enjoyed "city" very much. Its the first story I've read in a long time where each word had a purpose and wasn't just filler. First time a city/setting actually disturbed me...in a good way that is.....
Peace

Comments: Ahem, very interesting site. I am copletely new to this "type" of fantasy/fiction. Your site is very user friendly and the links are educational and have opened my eyes to a new realm. Ordered a copy of "City of Saints" last week and am eagerly waiting the call from the local bookstore. Peace and best of luck.

Comments: Hi Jeff -

Just wanted to say that I will get around to posting my review of 'City of Saints and Madmen', on The Alien Online, very soon. I'm on the ninth draft now, so I think the end is in sight...
I liked it a lot, by the way...

Comments: Hi Jeff, just a note to say I got the hardcover of City of Saints & Madmen a week or so ago -- thanks. It really turned out fine. Looking forward to Veniss Underground when it's available. Also, many and heartfelt congrats on yours and Ann's marriage. Best of luck to you both in the future.

Comments: Thanks, Eric--that's awfully nice of you to say. I'm continually amazed by how many people read and like the stories. It really makes writing them easier and more fun--to know there's an audience to appreciate them.

Comments: Hi Jeff,

Just wanted to say I love the Ambergris stuff. I am a huge Peake fan, and among other influences you've really taken the gormenghastly mood and applied it to a more modern (and shorter form) context in a way I doubted possible. A story of mine was up for consideration for your great Leviathan 3 antho and just being in the running makes me happy to this day. I always wanted to thank you but never did. So here it is. Thanks,
Erik
