I used to play under sixteens and 'A' grade superleague for Morphette Vale back in 1987/88!!!! I unfortunately moved to Queensland just before the inaugural national under 21's where I only played for another year. It was good to catch up with Gloede's and Barry at Noosa (thanks for the best on paddock Glodes) and it's great to see that you still have valued input into the sport. A special thanks to Ang, if she wasnt around there is no doubt in my mind that this would never of happened. She is a super coach who we all have so much respect for and i think that is what got us over the line in the final- its all 4 u ang. To Darren Martin- AKA Shrek- trainer. He has been there at most tranings helping out both us and Ang, and also during the week he was a strong roll modle to all the boys both on and off the court. And last of all the bets looking manager in the world -Mr Dave Furguson. What a chapion this bloke is... all week he did all the running around and organising, andthing Ang asked him to do it was done be for she knew it. Not just during the week, but at all the tranings he was there collecting money and helping the team in a way no one else could. - Thanks Dave we love ya mate. I haven't heard about this one. IS it true? If so, any idea how it'd work ? Starting from the 1995 World Cup is ridiculous (if true) and a kick in the guts to those pioneers of the sport who represented Aust from the 80's on. What about juniors and Masters players - are they included ? There's even the issue about THAT defunct Mickey Mouse competition (Indoor Cricket Arenas)who would have also had Aust reps (some still playing). I think the idea is great but I do hope some common sense(and hard work) is used when deciding on some of these issues. One notable omission in indoor cricket has been the collation and retention of historical information over the past 25 years. Some States do a pretty good job but I wonder how many could list (for example)all their State/National players and teams as well as State title champions(clubs) etc etc. Unless some effort is made soon, most of this will be very difficult to establish.
