The images of Rochester warm the heart, especially the churches. HOLY REDEEMER, and ST. FRANCIS XAVIER are sites of my ancestral homes for churches and houses of worship. Similarly, BERITH KODESH the temple of stone, that synagogue for tailors, with handsome roof of terra cotta: is also a home of my Rochester ancestry. The Victorian architecture of all three houses of worship is very inspiring: with details, like, twin spires and rosetta, with many stained glass windows. They don't make 'em like they usta! It brings back wonderful memories to see the Academy of the Sacred Heart and the Chapel there as my sister and I attended school there in the 1950s.
