Comments: Good luck to David and you. I myself had a 26 week old boy. He weighed 2lbs 1/2 ounce and 17 inches long. He stayed in the hospital for 80 days. Long tough road. He now will be 4 in Aug and is doing very well. Our miracle baby. I since then had another child a girl and she started to deliver at 31 weeks. Stopped labor and then delivered at 36 weeks. She weighed 5.6 lbs. She was able to come home with us. This is a real nice site. You're on your way! Comments: I recently gave birth to a 3lb. 4oz. baby girl on Feb 2. She was not due until Apr.2nd. She is in NICU at this moment and doing well. As a single mom and this being my first baby at 23 yrs. old this is very frightening to me. I spent 16 days in the hospital fighting for this childs life and was pretty much alone except for when my parents came to visit. I know everyone has a story to tell and I am glad to be able to read some of them. It offers me some comfort as I wait for my little one to get big enough to come home. Comments: Hi.. I am 17 years old, and I was born in 1983. I was born at 5 months, and weighed 2lbs, 6ozs. I had to have a tracheotomy because my trachea was surrounded by tissue and my larynx was premature. I had 26 lazer surgeries to burn the tissue, but it kept growing back. Finally, after I turned 6, the trach I had was removed successfully. To get it taken out, I had to risk something. My voice. Now, I have a scratchy voice because my vocal cords are damaged. But I am a healthy 17 year old, I weigh 110 pounds, and 5'5. Email me if you'd like!
