Comments/Message: Congratulations on providing a superb Organ/keyboard Club in Sussex. I had a real ball performing there on Friday March 31st. The atmosphere was fantastic, the audience second-to-none and splendid presentation (with the lights etc.). Crawley is certainly one of THE best organ groups I've played for. 2 Fri February 17 2006 - 16:14:11 Your name: Robert Email: rcservices@hotmail.co.uk Where are you from?: Crawley Your web site, if any: http://www.crawleycarpetcleaning.com How did you find us?: Just Surfed In! I am envious of your thriving club : attempts to get a club going here have always fizzled out. However four of us meet every Sunday afternoon for general chat and a few tunes on the Wersi of our friend Jimmy who is usually the host . I have been attending the festivals at Caister and Blackpool since 1986 and we hope to be once again at B'pool on May 25th . Doubtless there will be some from your club there and we would be pleased to exchange greetings . I am pleased to own a US1 and have no plans to change . Best wishes to the Crawley club and any one who reads this . Your web site, if any: http:// How did you find us?: Organ Web Ring Comments/Message: Dear fellow Electone enthusiast... I introduce myself, and wish to share information, registrations, performance files, etc. for those who have a Yamaha EL-70/90 Electone. I have been our church organist for many decades, and am 60 now. Just recently our church purchased an EL-90 Yamaha Electone for playing at home and one for the church. Digital is the way to go. After playing and owning various analog instruments...Conn, Wurlitzer, Lowrey, Allen TC3, etc. I now realize what a fabulous instrument the Electone is. I play traditional hymns, and recently, contemporary Christian music, like Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Jaci Velasquez, Amy Grant, etc. Really getting back into electronic organ playing recently, I was greatly surprised to know that Yamaha made these great instruments. A fellow enthusiast in Florida, USA, sent me some registration and performance disks. I would love to share performance and registration files by email. I would love to be able to assign a specific percussion sound to the lower keyboard and one to the pedals...sort of a light rhythm background that plays with you. I understand this cannot be done on the EL-90. Any suggestions...like a separate MIDI unit to play off the pedals and/or lower manual?? Anything you wish to share with me about the Yamaha EL-90 Electone, (especially in the way of available software, registrations, books, etc.) feel free to do so. I love to hear about the instrument and to learn new things. I'm always looking for a ‘celeste string' sound and solo instrument sounds like trombone, chimes, etc. Sincerely, Nelson A. Clark 5744 N. Comments/Message: Dulcie and I have greatly enjoyed performances by so many excellent organists since joining the CKC around 1995. I make endeavours on an EL90 (don't read dots on lines). Helped in setting up the present venue, and for a few years in setting up and clearing away at each concert, but lower back now objects. Very well run and supported. The monthly newsletter is a big task alone, but it helps keep everyone on board. Here's to Alan and Margaret, and continued good health and success. 13 Wed December 13 2000 - 20:22:41 Your name: George Holmes Email: george@badeos.freeserve.co.uk Where are you from?: Bolton & District Electronic Organ Society Your web site, if any: http://www.organfax.co.uk/clubs/bolton.html How did you find us?: Organ Web Ring Comments/Message: Best wishes to all at Crawley for Christmas 2000 and for a successful 2001.
