Comments: Thank you sir for some of the missing pieces to my puzzle. The search for where my Y-DNA originates has been frustrating due to parentage and name changes. I was abandoned by my biological father, and adopted by my stepfather. Recently I have become reconnected to my biological father's side of the family. It turns out that his father was adopted out of an orphanage in Oklahoma. After talking to my aunt I discovered that she had a copy of the adoption records which listed my great grandfather as Claud Bush. Since then I have been able to trace his line all the way back to Virginia to James Bush b. @ 1830. I still need to dig deeper and confirm but there are indications are that this may be James W. Bush son of Enoch Bush b. 1801 in Lee County, Virginia. The interesting part is that my Y-DNA signature matches 11 out of the first 12 of your ancestral line. I'm planning on taking another test to confirm and I will get search band expanded. How good do you think this site is: No comments Comments: I love your site. I just wish I had recognized some of the names. My maternal grandfather was John Boush (Bush). Now that I am retired I thought I would work on my family tree. My daughter-in-law got me started on Ancestry.com and I have used it to travel back. I have been a little disappointed that some of the trees have errors, however I knew my grandfather's family came from Norfolk. I did not realize that they had come up from North Carolina. I seem to be descended from a lot of William Bushes. It seems the first one came here in the 1600's from England. If you have any information on any Williams in VA. and NC I would appreciate it. How good do you think this site is: Looks great! Comments: You have a photo of Clay Bush with wife Stanley Crawford. They are brother & sister. Stanley's given name is Martha Stanley Bush. She is my grandmother and her family always called her Stanley. The little boy in the photo is my uncle Donald, her first born. She had 2 more sons, the next was Charles Crawford and then my dad Fred Richard Crawford. My grandmother married twice and died with the name of Martha Stanley Webb on Oct. 9th, 1979.
