I do really enjoy touring your site and only wish I could visit you in Scotland (home of my ancestors -- my Granny who taught me about chickens was a Watson)! I keep an ever-growing, mixed flock on an old ranch in the coastal hills a mile from the Pacific Ocean, about 60 miles north of San Francisco. They are a riot! but they aren't tamed enough to pick up. There seems to be three sets of two. We could only identify one set as probably a rhode Island or New Hampshire Red. At our church there is a small lake where a number of domestic duck and geese have been abandoned. One of the Chinese geese had fishing line tightly wrapped around one of it's legs causing him a significant limp due to circulation being cut off.
