I am doing my presentation on Araucana chickens because I just recently bought six poulets at a local Tractor Supply Store. (One of my projects this year is Backyard Poultry.) I was drawn to them because of their "blue/green" eggs. I also bought 6 Red sex link poulets. Along with my new additions, I currently have 10 Barred Rock Hens, 1 Black Sexlink hen, 2 Barred Rock Roosters and one white Banty Rooster. I am able to sell five dozen eggs a week plus supply my family with our egg needs. I like to watch the chickens and am curious about them. I want to learn more about them so I can take good care of them. I cannot find them again however. I am trying to find a sweet tempered chicken although I try not to actually say this as people look at me oddly!
