She showed me a photo of her as a child next to the birdcage. That darned birdcage is over 65 years old! I took it home and commenced to cleaning it. What a treat to find a chromatic-looking stainless steel cage underneath those layers of years. I used a solution that helped me to get it cleaned up, but a grill is a grill and a toughie to detail. The cage that emerged made the hard work well worth it. The only hint I found was a "Hendryx" mark on the only plastic part of the cage. I looked up birdcages on the web and finally found the name to be "PREVUE Hendryx". I am so pleased that you put up a site for Prevue Hendryx. I would never have found the information that I needed. While I found some of PH's products at other sites, I had great difficulty in getting enough info to make a quality decision re: new cage. Presently, I have purchased over 8 of their 123 & 2 of their 125. Also, have 1 addt'l.(# not remembered.) I was looking for one that was larger. I love their 123's brass for my tiels (finish doesn't last well, needs some change-functionality great!) The 125's in the nickel/chrome absolutely wonderful. Finish stays & stays looking great unlike the brass which stains in the 123's. I brought all my birds with me, When I lived in CA I worked for Bird Talk Magazine and some of my birds have been in the publication. It has been so hard finding bird food and bird supplies and there is not one pet store over here that sales bird hand feeding formula, I had to have my friend get it for me and send it to me. Went on vacation and came home to a completely gutted house. From the outside you couldn't really tell. But everything wes either burned, melted, or damaged from smoke or soot on the inside. The heat was so intense that anything plastic in the house melted into blobs of plastic. But, we got a completely brand new house out of it....of course it took awhile to get over the initial devastation of losing everything. Still sorting through boxes of stuff the contractors packed and it's been almost a year already!
