Comments: President Davis and Crew of CABOT, During some recent investigation on the explosion that took place on the USS Bennington on 26 May 1954, I've recently learned that some of the crew members of the great lady CABOT were instrumental in the rescue & recovery of the deceased. Though some 57 years have passed since that tragic date in history, we shall not forget those whose lives were taken from us. We shall also not forget the heroic efforts of those men from CABOT who demonstrated tremendous courage.
