How good do you think this site is: Looks great! Comments: Hi there, My name is Warren Gross, Im an APOSTOLIC Pentecostal, who beleives in the bible, and God comin into this world in the form of man. I do think Ms. Andrea Cecily Vera is wrong, I know the untruths of the catholic church, and I agree with Mr. Bartlett, but I don't agree with the way you carry out your message, In your message about Matthew 24, you quoted a false scripture, THE BIBLE SAYS EATHQUAKES IN DIVERS PLACES, NOT VARIOUS PLACES, they always have been in "various" places, now they are happening in divers places like up here in Canada. The only TRUE bible is the King James Version. All the other versions are "revisions" and false interpretations of the King James Version Bible. How good do you think this site is: Looks nice Comments: Mr. Bartlett, I must admit I was very impressed when I first signed on to your website. I was happy to have found another christian site (and one with cool graphics as well!!). Your entry called 'Letter to a Cotholic Priest' caught my eye and I went to read it. As the actual letter from the priest was not included, I had a hard time following the entry. I gathered, though, that you were trying to disprove the priest on whatever he had spoken of. Then I read your entry on how the Catholic Church is incorrect. To tell you the truth, I was slightly disappointed. In regards to the word Catholic never appearing in the Bible, Catholic is from the Greek word Catolicos (sp?) meaning 'universal'. You claim that the Catholic Church teaches that only Catholics will be saved but "Catholic Church" means the Universal Church. How can you say that about a church called the Universal Church? About the Pope being infallible: he is only so when he speaks ex cathedra. This has only happened two or three times in 2000 years. The pope isn't infallible because the pope is human. The pope still goes to confession(I know you don't agree w/ the whole penance thing) and knows that he sins. In regards to your insistence of being shown evidence from the Bible, I would like to ask you a seemingly random question: have you ever read Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities? (please note there is no connection between Dickens and the Bible, simply that Dickens is the most recent book we've done in school and the one I can most clearly make a case with) If you have you're hopefully aware of how many themes and motifs and how much foreshadowing there is in the book. If you extract a theme ie. love there will be much evidence that the theme exists but nothing outright will say what the theme is. The same with motifs. The wine/blood motif doubles as foreshadowing, but the function of it is nowhere in-your-face-obvious. High School English teachers will agree that Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities is full of themes etc. They will also agree that there is no single passage that will point out the theme and function of it. My point is that YOU CANNOT EXPECT TO FIND A WRITTEN EXCUSE FOR EVERY ONE OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH'S FAULTS, AS YOU CALL THEM, IN THE BIBLE. Some things are interpreted. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on whether or not the interpretation in correct. Whether you meant it or not, your whole "Catholics are incorrect" seems very judgmental. By the words of Christ:"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you"(Matt.7:1-2) For someone with such a wonderfull knowledge of the Bible, how can you forget such a passage? I cannot explain the reasons behind the Catholic Church, I don't know nearly enough about it to do so accurately. As you challenged Catholics to read a certain book, I ask (not challenge) you to go to www.Catholic-pages.com and go to the forum. You'll have to sign in as a member, but if you do you can post your questions there. You'll get the answers to your questions there as well. In His peace, Andrea (If you havn't figured out by now, I'm Catholic) All in all, your website seems well put together(I really like the background of Jesus :) ) but I don't agree with the way you are knocking other denominations. Why don't you speak about your own truthfully and allow the Catholics or what not to convert if they understand what you're about? 153 Thu March 22 2001 - 02:16:40 Fullname: Natalie Smith Email: natarat39@hotmail.com Where are you from?: Mississippi Reference: Just Surfed On It! How good do you think this site is: Well Done!!! Comments: Dear Adam: I was looking for a straight answer about Catholic and am glad to find your webpage. I know there are so many wrong teachings by the Catholic churches, but a lot Christians do not think Catholic is cult. I think Catholic is cult, but most people I talked to do not want to put it in such strong manner. Am I wrong? Can Catholics go to Heaven? This is the most puzzling question I have. Thank you very much. I would like to visit your web more. May the Lord bless you. I am absolutely certain that he would have given numerous references to scripture to refute your claims, like how St. Paul even referred to as Father (1 Cor. 4:14-15). Quite funny that Outreach ministries is going to claim to be greater, more knowledgeable than the one true Church that Christ himself established nearly 2000 years ago. A Church mind you that you and your clients will be more than welcome to join. If you want real answers. Check out (http://www.catholic.com). I was skimming some of your articles, and I stopped at "Is Catholocism a cult?". Well, I believe it is, but I do have a question about one of your topics. It is true that the word "Purgatory" does not appear in the Bible, but I have two questions concerning that; 1)Where did the people who died before Christ go, i.e- Moses, Noah, Abraham etc.? and how do you explain Luke 16:22-28 if Abraham is in heaven?
