And David Blaine in his silly electric suit not taking a poo for 72 hours. I mean, please. Life is boring enough already without imposing these extra-boring stunts on us. 422 Mon October 15 2012 - 13:20:03 Fullname: Graham Masterton Email: Comments: Have you ever taken anybody to court? I have, when a publisher broke a contract, and it was the biggest waste of time and money you can imagine. 423 Mon October 15 2012 - 09:05:24 Fullname: Novy Email: Comments: "Years ago a well-known horror author copied the seance sequence from THE MANITOU almost word-for-word in a book of his" Graham, Is not that copyright infringement that carries criminal court proceedings? 424 Mon October 15 2012 - 08:34:36 Fullname: Graham Masterton Email: Comments: You sound a little depressed, Kevin. It has it's good moments, but in the main, don't get up in the morning. If I can't be with my wife on a day to day basis, I don't want to know. Can't even contemplate her not being with me. It's anathema. So what about the Mayan long calendar? Media hype / Bollocks. Any emails to you after Dec 22nd..forget it? Best, Kevin 427 Sun October 14 2012 - 16:19:26 Fullname: Graham Masterton Email: Comments: I think the key word, Kevin, is "alleged." One day the Sun will burn out and the Earth will freeze over but not just yet and we must count ourselves lucky that we were born in reasonably stable and temperate times. One thing I have learned from the death of my wife Wiescka is that life is very short and very impermanent and that it is so important to make the best of it, mostly by being understanding towards other people, the obnoxious bastards. 428 Sun October 14 2012 - 15:12:06 Fullname: Kevin Etheridge Email: Comments: Hi Graham
Is there a story in this (quickly if it's going to happen), or is it all rubbish? If the world was ending what would you do / miss (apart from living)? Me? I'd want to be able to appreciate the birth of and spend time with my as yet unborn God-Daughter and see my Grand-children grow into adulthood with my wife. Just a thought Best Kevin 429 Sun October 14 2012 - 09:29:12 Fullname: Graham Masterton Email: Comments: KR...I would be interested to know what the book is. If you don't want to post it on this message board send me an email to manitouman1@yahoo.com. Most of the time books that appear to have very similar storylines have come about as a coincidence, and even if it is obvious that they are an out-and-out copy there is not much you can do about it. Years ago a well-known horror author copied the seance sequence from THE MANITOU almost word-for-word in a book of his, but I simply took that as a compliment and I didn't complain. There didn't seem to be any point in it. Why embarrass somebody for no reason? 430 Sat October 13 2012 - 15:56:47 Fullname: KR Email: Comments: Graham -- I found a description of a book on-line with a plot that sounds remarkably like one of yours. At what point do you consider someone else's work (i) an homage, (ii) a coincidence, or (iii) plagiarism? 431 Fri October 12 2012 - 17:28:26 Fullname: Graham Masterton Email: Comments: KR...if I had that power, I'd be using it all the time, especially with traffic wardens! 432 Fri October 12 2012 - 14:39:43 Fullname: KR Email: Comments: I'm sorry that I keep bringing up THE HELL CANDIDATE, but this is definitely the year that book comes to mind. You cannot convince me that, if any of the current candidates had the power to make his opponent crap in his pants during a debate, he would not use that power. 433 Thu October 11 2012 - 10:46:14 Fullname: Graham Masterton Email: Comments: Actually, you can order THE PRESS now from Amazon Kindle, for only Ł0.77 434 Thu October 11 2012 - 10:42:34 Fullname: Graham Masterton Email: Comments: Cemetery Dance publishers will be issuing a number of "Singles" -- short horror stories available as e-reads to coincide with Hallowe'en. My contribution will be THE PRESS, which was first published in FESTIVAL OF FEAR but will now be available as a "Single" if you haven't read it before. Details of how to order as soon as I get them. 435 Wed October 10 2012 - 08:52:56 Fullname: Graham Masterton Email: Comments: Your idea deserved praise, Joanna.
