Comments: Thanks. I had tried to clarify last week, I meant the audio book with Tony and Susan. And yes, Burgess is superb. I think you are right on with Sissy being played by Shirley !! I can see that in my mind ( with Long hair ? ). Anyway, I am looking for some audio books, but some I want are all downloads ( I know, I'm a dinosaur). If you ever had the option to have the Devils of D-Day as a Movie, would you do that ? That would be something I would definitely line up for !!
Regards

Comments: Why do newspapers repeatedly mix up "grizzly" (a sub-species of brown bear) with "grisly" (horrifying and bloody)? Maybe their sub-editors went to Eaten.

Comments: All the leading roles for female characters over 50 go to Meryl Streep. If the script was good and the price was right, Streep would probably love to play a role where the main action is in Connecticut (as it was in TOUCHY & FEELY), since that is her home state.

Comments: Thanks for your comments about RITUAL, Campbell. I agree with you that it is better not to know what goes on in restaurant kitchens.

THE MANITOU is available as a DVD through Amazon. I was delighted when Tony Curtis was cast as Harry Erskine because I thought he suited the role perfectly. In fact all the cast were spot-on to the characters that I had written about, especially Burgess Meredith as Dr Snow.

I don't know who I would cast as Sissy Sawyer. Maybe Shirley Maclaine, because she is heavily into astrology and spirituality and is sufficiently oddball.

Comments: I just finished re-re-reading RITUAL ( I found out years before ritual, the less I know about food prep, the better it is at a restaurant :-). Anyway, just had a spine procedure, and I watched PROMETHEUS in the afternoon, and read the last passage in the Book where Charlie goes through the Kitchen near the end. Anyway, Hoping to get some good copies of anything new by you. And I saw the listing for Tony Curtis and Susan Strasbourg (sp?) doing MANITOU and if that was still available, I would jump on it. I am interested to know if you prefer regular books to e-books, after all, where do you sign your autograph on an e-book ? :-)
Thanks again, and I enjoy Harry Erskine's adventures in books ( I guess I have always associated Harry with Tony Curtis ). As the comics say here, nuff said ( for the moment). I would love to see Sissy Sawyer as a film; who would you see as Sissy ?

Comments: Just been going through my old book collection, in fact, have just started reading again after about 12 years playing computer games blah blah. Forgot how the imagination flies when reading good books. Anyway just wanted to say after pulling out your books (Family Portrait, Burial, Manitou, Death Trance) that you were and still are one of my fave horror writers (horror is all I have ever read). You are defo on a par with James Herbert and better than Stephen King. Shame the Manitou film wasn't that great. Is it true you books aren't printed anymore? If so, will have to find them all (unread ones) in second hand shops. All the best, Paul.

Comments: How boring was Felix Baumgartner's jump from 23 miles up? Very boring. And David Blaine in his silly electric suit not taking a poo for 72 hours. I mean, please. Life is boring enough already without imposing these extra-boring stunts on us.

Comments: Have you ever taken anybody to court? I have, when a publisher broke a contract, and it was the biggest waste of time and money you can imagine.

Comments: "Years ago a well-known horror author copied the seance sequence from THE MANITOU almost word-for-word in a book of his" Graham, Is not that copyright infringement that carries criminal court proceedings?
