Comments: After hearing you on the Croydon interview, I could be pretty happy hearing you read the Horror ( not the Nookie :-) ). I have read on a Side Band and found that getting used to moisturizing the throat was a beast. I used a product by Cepacol to stop having difficulties. We read 2 hours each session and the main guy I worked with was a semi-pro voice-over guy. I had a lot of fun and got good responses actually. It was just news, but they were planning a book reading project, however the funding got cut. Still, its something I would love to do. The biggest problem being live on air is that if you read something funny ( Like Garrison Keilor or the GOP afficionados) I did the lines for laughs, and once one of us cracked up, then we both were giggling for 2-3 minutes; thank god for the mute switch :-). Anyway, its a skill to read. I have heard some people do H P Lovecraft, and they edit out the period writing, and thats kind of a buzz kill, especially in his style of writing.
Anyway, hopefully I can get audio reader auditions still... I still seem to get positive responses when I read.
Thanks again !!

Comments: Glad you enjoyed RED MASK, Campbell. Unfortunately I have no say in who the aduio companies select to read my books. I did try reading one myself once, but it is incredibly exhausting if you are not a trained actor and my voice got worn out before I had read more than seven pages. I once recorded an hour-long sex instruction cassette and by the end of that I sounded more knackered than if I had been having vigorous nookie for an hour.

Comments: I just thought you might like to know that I have enjoyed the audio book of RED MASK ( I had bought some audio books recently ). It is probably kind of weird to hear a book after one has read it. Anyway, I had a particular voice in mind for your Horror books. Do you have input into who you would like for your audio book readers ? I have the audio of MR B GONE, and the reading by Doug Bradley was perfect ( in my view); I think Doug would be great for some of your books, but I guess being a fan of Doug's work is something that makes me biased.
I Am definitely looking forward to any audio books you have out.
Thanks again for your work. I hope FAMILY PORTRAIT comes in audio soon. I enjoyed the book immensely, so a good performer would be great.

Comments: Your books are on their way to you, Andy. I hope your girlfriend has a great birthday! Meanwhile, the only news that I have is that I am ploughing through DROUGHT, my newest disaster epic, and that I should have it finished by the end of next week. The whole time I have been writing it, rain has been trickling down my windows, so it has needed an enormous leap of the imagination to think that it is 120 degrees and hasn't rained at all for a year and a half!

Comments: Hi, My girlfriend has been a BIG fan for many years and every drawer seems to have one of your books in!! I'm delighted iv found this site because she would love the 3 tor PB book offer signed for her but I'm a little concerned on a delivery time because its her birthday on the 17Th Nov and would like it by then, would this be possible? i'm in the UK. also would you want 1 message for all 3 books or a slightly different message for each? Sorry to trouble your message page with such a mundane message but hopefully you can help make her birthday a little nicer. many thanks. Andy.

Wow, I better save my shekels :-)
Anyway, I just hope I can get editions from the UK of ones that are not available here ( I guess). I am looking forward to anything you have coming out.
All the best.
I had forgot about the Guy Fawkes day ( Any books on Him ? ). I wrote a security report last week and this week on some nasty threats; All the virus material seems to have some good scope for a kind of "Virus-ex Machina" if that would be the right term; Anyway, some scope...

Comments: No immediate plans for a HOUSE OF BONES sequel, Campbell. It was commissioned by Point Horror which is a Young Adult line. At the moment I have so many new books lined up to write that I doubt if I will be able to find the timer. But thanks for your compliments, anyway.

Comments: Congrats on being author of the Month !! The page looks great. It was good seeing HOUSE OF BONES listed; I thoroughly enjoyed that title. Any planes on a sequel there ? I like the characters amd the underlying idea was quite good I thought. Anyway, I hope it brings in more sales.
Thanks again.

Comments: Unfortunately, Dominic, THE RED HOTEL has not yet been translated into French, although I am hoping that it will be very soon. Like everywhere else, there has been a slowdown in publishing in France and the horror market is not what it was even a few years ago. But I will let you know when it is due for publication in French.

Comments: Good Day Graham! I was wondering if THE RED HOTEL was translated in french. If so, what is the french title ?

I've been looking for it at my local library but they dont seem to have any copy, unless they already sold everything they had !

Thanx Graham! Best to you!

As odd as it sounds I am glad I am not alone on the kindle issue. Anyway, I am changing my view on kindle prints if the books are out of print and all I can get is an edition from some Charlie who wants over 1,000 dollars ( US or AUS :-), anyway, my suggestion is, would you consider a kind of Kindle Card for each edition that you charge a fee for signing and mailing? As a kind of compromise to the e-book which cannot be signed ( plus it would be a great book mark if laminated ). Anyway, I know I would pay, and you could do it by a code in the Kindle, maybe [?], and purchase from there ?
Also, are your stories in the collections coming out in chapbooks from Cemetary Pub ? ( Shivers, and Rock ). I have not checked to see if the cemetary Dance issues are signed. But, I'll be glad to get the stories in any format. I am looking forward greatly to the next Jim Rook, and I hope I can get other books you have out as well ( like the "Mirror" PB edition i bought with Two Covers(double cover on one book)... I think I have 3 paperbacks there.
If you could have Doug Bradley read one of your books, which book would you like him to read? I like his reading of Mr B'Gone by Clive Barker ( or, if you would not like him reading your books, just say not suitable... well, I am sure you can say something more diplomatic than me :-)
Thanks
