Lived at Stanton Creek, had farms in Hunter's Valley/the Back Valley, Guest River, Clinch River. Do you have any of the ledger pages accessible on the web? I would be interested in seeing Alec M. Comments: I descend from James Bush who married Mary Plunkett (?) through their daughter Mary Bush. Mary Bush married James Turner (can't find his parents either) and they had a daughter Mary Turner. Mary Turner married Henry Fraley (son of Frederick Fraley and Chloe ?) and they had Nancy Fraley. Nancy Fraley married Algernon Sydney Lee/Cook (son of Martin Lee and Fanny Cook) and they had Elizabeth Cook. Elizabeth Cook married Josiah Greer (son of John Horton Greer and Martha J. Cunningham) and they had Charles Fred Greer. Charles Fred Greer married Corrine Viola Evans (d/o Viola Shook and William Henry Evans) and they had Ruth Greer. Ruth Greer Haas is my Grandmother and she just turned 88 last week. I just started working on my family genealogy several months ago. I almost cried when I read that no one knows who James Bush's parents were. Is it possible that his name was either intentionally left out of the will or maybe the will was written before James was born? Did anyone ever look to see if James contested the will? I know my ggrandfather Henry Fraley was not mentioned in his Dad's will because Frederick Fraley wrote the will before Henry and several of his siblings were born. Since I don't have much experience searching for information yet, can you give me any suggestions as to where I should begin looking for James Bush's parents? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have you read that book I've seen mentioned on the internet "Delilah's Mountain"??? Supposedly the book mentions James "Jimmy" Bush.
